Issue 47 – “Scary Christmas”

Download this week’s show here…
Welcome to our Christmas-sode! This week we discuss our Christmas wish-lists and partake in some holiday cheer. This week only four of our crew are here to join in the festivities. You’ll have to listen to find out who is missing…I’ll give you a hint though, He was kicked off the podcast last episode for bad behavior. (You didn’t think we were serious did you?)
Join us as Cally offends every religion in the world! But wait, there’s more! Cally also goes off on the homeless!! It’s just what you have come to expect from Tales from the Parents Basement, and then some.
Then it’s business as usual. We announce a prize that will be given away at this year’s Emerald City Comicon and we talk about some comics news and we do our new segment, Spence’s Sack!
We review: Chimichanga #1
Musical Number: Jingle Bells by The Joker

Good episode!
Spence did a great “Cold Storage” intro!
But I can’t help but feel that something was missing….. something large, and frequently hairy. Something that likes Conan way too much.

There no problem with liking Conan … in all the years that have followed R.E.Howard he still hasn’t been equaled in the world of Fantasy writing … I do think the films were rubbish though .. still .. the comics have been pretty good … BWS’s version is still my fave.

Agreed – REH is one of the best!
As far as Conan artists, I’ve always been a Big John Buscema guy! That’s what I grew up on.
